Leeds V Doncaster

Wembley hosted a crucial game in League One, with the winners getting a highly regarded place in The Championship. Doncaster came out victorious over a positive Leeds. With both teams playing their hearts out against a huge crowd it was James Hayter's second-half header who secured them the well deserved place in the league above. Although it may seem as a defeat for leeds Gary McAllister was full of praise for his players, he thought they did well to turn round their 15 point deduction, however the 43 year old would have been pleased with his record since succeeding Dennis Wise. With many chances for both sides and the Leeds goal-keeper keeping leeds in the game several times, the match was a credit to League 1. Lets be honest- WHO ISN'T LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING LEEDS NEXT YEAR?

Star Player

Although every player, played their heart out and were a credit to football, it would have to be match winner James Hayter whos 47th minute goal secured Doncaster a place in The championship.

However, was it not well deserved? Although Leeds are the 'big club', who do you really thing deserved to go up?
wickedoli5
wickeddoli5- Well, Doncaster did well enough-good luck to them- However, don`t you think the team that REALLY deserved to go up WON 27 GAMES and got 91 POINTS? Has everyone conveniently forgotten this?
Rotherham White
That is true and Leeds did well! But Doncaster were very unlucky not to get automatic promotion! fair play to leeds who stuck with it and played their hearts out...how do you think they will do next year?
