Leyton Orient vs. Peterborough United

Brisbane Road

8th February 2014

A Posh Encounter - Peterborough (H)

After losing in the dying seconds at Rotherham last week, Leyton Orient prepare to face Darren Ferguson's Peterborough United at Brisbane Road.

Now sitting in third place, Orient will be hoping to return to winning ways on Saturday and continue to sit hot on the heels of league leaders Brentford.

Peterborough come in to this fixture sitting in 8th place, one point off of the play-off places.

Orient ran out 3-1 winners when the two sides met at London Road earlier on in the season.

VitalOrient looks ahead to the upcoming fixture which is a start of a series of important home matches throughout February.

Leyton Orient Team News:

Ben Alnwick is set to make his second home debut for the O's.

It is likely that Kevin Lisbie will return to the squad after missing last week's defeat at Rotherham with a groin injury.

Player to watch: Romain Vincelot

The French midfielder was influential in the win at Peterborough back in November.

Vincelot's tenacity and closing down prevented Peterborough from creating any real momentum and the Orient midfielder will be hoping for another high quality performance on Saturday.

Peterborough United Team News:

Top goalscorer Britt Assombalonga is a doubt after suffering a facial injury in the draw against Swindon midweek.

Player to watch: Nicky Ajose

The Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for January will be looking to carry on his fine form against the O's on Saturday.

The striker scored five goals last month and the Orient defence will have to be on top form to keep the pacey forward out of the game.

Match Facts & Stats

Orient have won 14 of the 31 matches between the sides.

Leyton Orient last kept a clean sheet against Peterborough in 1998.

Peterborough last won at Orient in 2009.

Ref Watch:

Lee Probert will take charge of this encounter.

Next Fixtures:

Leyton Orient: Bristol City (H) Feb 11; Preston (A) Feb 15; Stevenage (H) Feb 18

Peterborough United: Walsall (H) Feb 15; Swindon (A) Feb 17; Stevenage (A) Feb 22
