Scunthorpe United vs. Leyton Orient

Glanford Park

29th March 2013

15:00

Easter Part 1 : Scunthorpe - Scunthorpe United (A)

The O`s head to north Lincolnshire for the first part of the crucial Easter weekend. With both teams desperate for points for different reasons, it is sure to be a fascinating encounter at Glanford Park. OrientVital previews the action ahead of tomorrow`s clash.

Vital Preview

Scunthorpe United Team News:

Damien Mozika and Josh Walker are both missing for the rest of the season with hamstring and knee injuries respectively. The duo have also been told that they will not be offered new contracts at the end of the campaign due to financial restrictions at Glanford Park.

Sam Slocombe is still out with a thigh injury, whilst Callum Kennedy is still recovering from illness. Youngsters Robbie Gibbons and Connor Jennings are also absent.

Player to watch: Mark Duffy

The attacking midfielder has been one of the few positives from Scunthorpe`s season.

Signed from Morecambe in 2011 the winger has played nearly 100 games for the Iron, showing how he has been a pivotal member of their squad.

Duffy impressed in the 3-1 win at Brisbane Road earlier in the campaign and the O`s will have to keep a closer tab on him this time if they are to be successful.

Leyton Orient Team News:

Scott Cuthbert could have potentially played his last game in an Orient shirt after he was ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken metatarsal.

Mathieu Baudry is the only other doubt as he stands a slim chance of being fit for tomorrow`s clash. Aside from the defensive duo, boss Russell Slade should have a full squad to select from.

Player to watch: Kevin Lisbie

The O`s talisman will need to bring his best if his side are to have a good Easter. The sixth joint top scorer in the league, Lisbie is having a fantastic season, scoring 13 times despite having large periods of the campaign out due to injuries.

He has linked well in recent weeks with loanee Shaun Batt as well other strikers Charlie MacDonald and David Mooney; he will hope with their help he can fire the O`s to success this holiday weekend.

Match Facts & Stats

When both sides last met in December it was the Iron that came out on top winning 3-1. At that time Scunny ended Orient`s excellent run of eight successive wins and they will hope to smash the east Londoners good form again.

In terms of overall record, both teams are pretty even in the amount of victories with Scunthorpe winning 16 of the 50 matches played. The O`s are just one behind on 15 wins and will hope to have levelled the record come full time tomorrow.

Ref Watch:

The Referee for tomorrow's match is David Webb from County Durham.
