Porter Elected On To Football League Board

Leyton Orient Chief Executive Matt Porter has been appointed a League One representative after being elected to serve on the Board of The Football League.

Porter will work with fellow League One representative Notts County Chief Executive James Rodwell and will replace Carlisle United Managing Director John Nixon, who stepped down following the Cumbrians relegation to League Two.

Porter was appointed Leyton Orient Chief Executive by Barry Hearn in the summer of 2006 at only the age of 26, becoming the youngest Chief Executive in English football.

League One representatives Matt Porter and James Rodwell will serve on the board alongside Chairman Greg Clarke, Chief Executive Shaun Harvey, Independent Non-Executive Director Richard Bowker, Championship Directors Andy Ambler of Millwall, Middlesborough's Keith Lamb and Blackpool's Karl Oyston as well as League 2 Director Ian Lenagan of Oxford United.

Congratulations Matt.
