Hearn Rules Out Jakupovic Return

Following the departure of Jamie Jones on Friday, Orient fans have taken to social media to name possible replacements, with the majority mentioning a possible return for Eldin Jakupovic.

Jakupovic was an instant hit with O's fans when he joined on loan from Hull City at the beginning of January, keeping three clean sheets in four matches, only to be recalled by the Premier League side after Orient's 2-0 win against Coventry on January 28.

The Bosnian rejoined the O's midway through February but his spell in E10 was again cut short by his parent club at the end of March, due to their first-choice goalkeeper Allan McGregor picking up a kidney injury.

Orient Chairman Barry Hearn has quickly ruled out a move for Jakupovic however, highlighting that the goalkeepers wage demands are far higher than what the club can afford.

Replying to O's fan Andrea Ford on Twitter, Hearn wrote:

@BarryHearn: @andreaford66 Eldin enjoyed his time with us but we need around one third of our total players budget which would be crazy.

The chances were always slim for Jakupovic to return, but now that the Bosnian has been ruled out, which goalkeeper would you go for?
