'If It's Football, It's Vital'

O's End Pre-Season With Eight Goal Thriller

Leyton Orient finished their pre-season with a 4-4 draw against Arsenal's development squad.

The home side got off to a sensational start as they netted twice in the opening stages. First Scott Cuthbert and then Kevin Lisbie found the net from consecutive corners from Lloyd James.

The north Londoners soon managed to grab a goal back through Wellington Silva, who impressed during the match claiming the first of his brace after 11 minutes.

Silva then levelled the scores before David Mooney struck in the 43rd minute to give Orient the lead into the half time break.

Russell Slade made 10 changes for the second period including trialists Ross Jenkins, Johnny Gorman and George Bowerman all entering the fray. Gorman made an immediate impact scoring the O's fourth on the night, coolly rounding the keeper to slot home.

Chuba Akpom then halved the deficit for the vistors three minutes later. It looked like the O's were heading for victory but Arsenal managed to nick an equaliser late on through defender Daniel Boateng.

Orient now look ahead to Saturday when they begin their SkyBet League One season at Brunton Park against Carlisle United.
