Tamworth Hold Orient To Draw

The O's were given their sternest test of pre-season so far as they were held to a draw at the Lamb Ground.

The match started in terrific fashion for the visitors as they nabbed an early lead through Moses Odubajo. The ball fell kindly to the winger from a Nathan Clarke throw which the youngster fired home.

Tamworth were playing more physically than the O's previous opponents, but the away side were still creating opportunities with Odubajo and Kevin Lisbie going close before the break.

Orient made no changes at half time and could have had a second just after the restart. Kevin Lisbie was fouled inside the area for a penalty but his effort from the spot was pushed away from a corner by Cameron Belford.

The save inspired the hosts to produce a better attacking display, with Jake Jones at the heart of two Tamworth moves.

Firstly he robbed Harrison Georgiou and drove toward the goal only to fire his shot wide of the target.

He then played a role in Tamworth's equaliser, with his shot rebounding off the post to Louis Harris who tucked the ball home.

The O's had one final chance through trialist Alex Addai but he was unable to convert as both teams settled for a draw.
