Orient To Play New York Cosmos

Leyton Orient have announced they will face the New York Cosmos at Brisbane Road on July 24th.

The Cosmos are famous for having some of the world's best footballers play for them in their first era including World Cup winners Pele and Franz Beckenbauer.

The club now in their second era after reforming in 2010 are preparing for a return to competitive football in the North American Soccer League starting later this year, and will visit Brisbane Road for a one-off test against the east Londoners.

This fixture will replace the arranged match against Aldershot which was due to be played on the same day.
