'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Transfer Rumour - Shaun Batt

Shaun Batt is still on Russell Slade's radar after his successful loan spell in E10 last season.

The Millwall loanee scored three times in 13 appearances as he helped the O's towards seventh spot in League 1.

Now mulling a new contract offer at The New Den, Slade is waiting to see whether Batt could be available for a permanent move.

Speaking to the Epping Forest Guardian Slade spoke about the possibility of signing the striker.

'I`m led to believe that Shaun has been offered a contract at Millwall and I think he is chewing that over. If he doesn`t (sign a new contract at Millwall) then it could be quite competitive at League One level for him. There is a lot of water under the bridge.'

Batt was highly impressive in his loan spell and worked well with the likes of David Mooney and Kevin Lisbie when playing in attack.

Whilst it is unlikely that he will reject Millwall's offer, if he does then it would be expected that Orient could be one of the favourites to claim his signature.
