Cuthbert - Delighted To Have Signed

After signing his new two year deal on Tuesday, Orient defender Scott Cuthbert was thrilled to sort his future in E10.

The Scotsman who joined two years ago, has extended his time with the O`s with his new contract and the former Swindon man told the club website of his pleasure at staying at Brisbane Road.

"I`m absolutely delighted to get it all signed and sorted, it`s been something that`s been happening in the background for the last three or four weeks now so I`m delighted to be here for another two years."

Cuthbert`s future could have been in the balance after missing the final six games of the campaign through injury, but his performances throughout the season convinced Orient boss Russell Slade to hand him fresh terms.

And the defender is hoping to repay the faith the manager has shown in him.

"This year was frustrating having to sit out and watch the team do so well. I`m fortunate enough that the manager has shown faith in me to give me a new contract and I`m looking forward to next season."
