Slade: No Play-Off Talk

Speaking after Tuesday`s 1-0 Success over Portsmouth Orient manager Russell Slade was keen to keep his feet on the ground after getting to within six points of the playoffs.

The O`s are five matches unbeaten since two defeats in a row to bottom half opposition in the form of Hartlepool and then Crawley in early February.

Currently the east Londoners sit 10th and look good for a top half finish if they can keep up their good form.

But Slade, speaking on Team Talk says any discussions about a late play-off charge are premature

"We`re not talking about play-offs, we are just talking about utilising the minutes that we`ve got left this season."

Orient manage to scrape a victory against Portsmouth on Tuesday in fortunate circumstances. Despite not playing to their best, Orient managed to nick the lead when Shaun Batt latched onto a horrendous mistake from Dan Butler to score the decisive goal.

The O`s held on thanks some resolute defending but Slade felt that Pompey could be justified in their claims that they deserved more from the contest.

"On another day, Portsmouth could have scored in each half."
