Sawyer An Injury Concern

Full back Gary Sawyer could potentially miss the rest of the season after being stretchered off in Saturday`s 2-1 defeat against Hartlepool.

The 27-year old has been a virtual ever present this term at left back playing 38 times, with four of those appearances coming in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.

It is suspected that the former Plymouth Argyle defender may have broken his leg, but the club will not have full confirmation of any damage until he has gone for a medical scan.

Speaking after the Hartlepool game on Saturday, boss Russell Slade wasn't hopeful of a swift return for Sawyer.
speaking to the official website Slade said:
"It`s too early to say at the minute but obviously he`s got a nasty injury."

OrientVital wishes Gary a speedy recovery.
