Win A Pro Contract: Who Will Slade Choose?

Win A Pro Contract: Who Will Slade Choose?

The three finalists of Samsung`s Win A Pro Contract are training at Leyton Orient this week as they look to grab the one year contract up for offer in E10.

After a nationwide competition searching for the best amateur footballing talent, both Swindon Town and the O`s will choose one of the three finalists to have in their ranks for the next year. Training this week with the Orient and the following week with the Wiltshire based outfit, Claudio Hoban, Kayden Jackson and Jack Sherratt are the hopefuls looking to win the affections of Russell Slade and Robins manager Paulo Di Canio.

But who will Russell Slade pick? OrientVital profiles the youngsters hoping to win a deal in E10 and makes its prediction who will be wearing the red of east London.

Claudio Hoban - The 21 year old is known as an attacker and currently plays in the Blue Square North for part-timers Histon. Hoban played with an injury in one of the trial games during the competition just a day after playing a competitive match for his regular club Histon. However with the O`s squad already brim to the full with attacking talent it would be hard to see where this youngster would fit in to Slade`s future plans.

Kayden Jackson - At 18, he is the youngest of the three remaining amateurs hoping to earn a deal in League 1. Known as a striker, he currently plies his trade in the Northern Counties East League for Albion Sports. Whilst younger than Hoban, Orient already have a talented young striker in Afolabi Obafemi and it would be considered unlikely that they would add another young forward to their squad.

Jack Sherratt - The 19 year old is a versatile individual, comfortable in either defence or midfield on the left hand side of the pitch. The student from Alsager plays for Kidsgrove Athletic in the Evo-Stik Division One South and is good friends with former Win A Pro contract winner Chris Smith. With Smith`s sage words of wisdom Sherratt will be hoping to have an advantage on the attacking duo who join him as a finalist. With his versatility down the left Sherratt could be the preferred option for Slade, in particular at left back as the O`s have no real natural cover for Gary Sawyer.

OrientVital wishes all three the best of luck in their quest to win a contract at Leyton Orient or Swindon Town.

Prediction: Jack Sherratt to join Orient
