A Jon Shaw goal was enough to settle the friendly encounter this afternoon at Kenilworth Road as Orient failed to score against Conference opposition for the third time this summer.
The Luton frontman's solitary strike just after the break won the match for The Hatters as Orient failed to trouble the so-called 'weaker opposition' in front of goal.
Orient headed to Bedfordshire today without Jamie Jones, Mathieu Baudry and Kevin Lisbie who missed out with minor niggles so it was a chance for squad players to stake a claim ahead of our opening nPower League One game at Tranmere Rovers in a fortnight.
Trialists Johnny Ertl and Ahmed Kashi were given another attempt to impress Russell Slade today.
The 1-0 reverse was the third in as many games against Conference oppositions after defeats to Ebbsfleet United and Dartford.
