LOFC - Spring comes to an end at Orient

Matt Spring has become the latest name to depart Brisbane Road this summer as the skipper has agreed a deal to sign for League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.

The Harlow born thirty-two year old joins the Adams Park club on a two-year deal after his deal at Orient come to an end over the weekend.

Spring joined Orient in the summer of 2010 and was one of the first names on Russell Slade's teamsheets during a spell that saw us conquer Norwich City and Swansea City, pull off a draw against Arsenal and finish within touching distance of the League One play-offs in his first season at the club.

Spring was one of the classiest player's to have played for Orient in recent years and his range of passing was top notch for a player of League One.

Spring become captain at Orient after Stephen Dawson was lured to Barnsley to play Championship football and was part of a poor side that just scraped survival in League One but nonetheless, 'Springy' was one of the stand out performers in such a poor side but somehow was not offered a contract by Slade after the campaign drew to a close in May.
