LOFC - O's Make Double Signing

AFC Bournemouth duo Mathieu Baudry and Michael Symes have become the club's third and fourth signings of the summer. The pair have agreed two-year contracts at Brisbane Road.

Baudry, 24, is a French born defender who started his career at Le Havre before joining Troyes. Baudry's time at Troyes saw him make 26 appearances for the club over a five year period and also saw him pick up the club's young player of the year award due to his performances in the 2008-09 season.

Baudry's performances for the French side caught the eye of scouts and was rewarded with a trial at Leeds United before the start of the 2009-10 season. After spending two weeks on trial with United, then manager Simon Grayson was keen to sign Baudry but couldn't agree a fee with his parent club.

In 2011, Baudry signed for AFC Bournemouth and remains quite new to the English game having only made twenty-four appearances in the English game. After making thirteen appearances at Dean Court, Baudry joined Dagenham & Redbridge on loan in March of this year and finished the season with The Daggers, making eleven appearances.

Symes is a striker, 26, and started his career at Everton. Symes failed to break into the first team at Goodison Park and has had quite a nomadic career since departing the Liverpool club.

After spells at Crewe Alexandra (loan), Bradford City, Stockport County (loan), Shrewsbury Town (loan and permanently), Macclesfield Town (loan) and Accrington Stanley (loan and permanently) Symes joined Bournemouth for the second time in his career.

Symes found first team opportunities difficult at Dean Court last season and joined Rochdale as they were relegated to League Two.

Two good players whose faces didn't fit with the new Manager at Dean Court - they will do you proud.
