LOFC - Three Out, One In at Orient

Terrell Forbes, Jamie Cureton and Jonathan Téhoué have departed Brisbane Road after being told their contracts would not be extended. The trio join Tom Lovelock, Mike Cestor and Jamie Smith in leaving E10 this summer. However, Anthony Griffith of Port Vale, has signed an inital two-year contract at Orient.

Forbes becomes the highest profile departure of the summer after spending two years at the club. The 30 year old Londoner made 91 appearances for Orient in that two year spell and had previously played under Russell Slade at Yeovil Town and Grimsby Town. Forbes has proved his versatility for Orient, playing at full back a number of times and many expected the former West Ham trainee to earn a new contract.

Jamie Cureton leaves the club as one of the biggest disappointment's in recent years. The experienced striker come in a year ago after scoring 20 goals for Exeter City but failed to recreate that form at Orient and returned to Exeter towards the end of the season on a loan deal and won't be missed by many at Brisbane Road.

Frenchman Téhoué leaves East London with a lot of fans at the club. The big striker joined in 2010 and had a reputation of a super sub at the club. His profile as a super sub was confirmed when he rose from the bench in the 5th round of the 2011/12 FA Cup to score an equaliser deep into injury time to send Orient fans into delirium and confirm a money earning replay at The Emirates.

Anthony Griffith is the man arriving at the club. The Port Vale man has signed a two-year contract at the club with the option of a third year available.

The move of the Huddersfield born midfielder is a step up from League 2 to League 1. Griffith has experience at the third tier, he started his career at Doncaster Rovers when the Yorkshire side were at this level. Whilst at Rovers, chances were limited so the Montserrat international spent time at Oxford United, Darlington, Halifax Town and Stafford Rangers before making the move to the Potteries.
