Chambers Joins Walsall

Adam Chambers has left Orient and agreed to join Walsall. The 30 year old was the club's longest serving player having signed for The O's in 2006, he made 195 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals in that time.

Chambers has returned to the city of his birth, Birmingham, to join ex-O Dean Smith who originally brought Chambers to the attention of the Orient back in 2006. After an injury plagued spell at West Bromwich Albion and Kidderminster Harriers, Chambers was invited to Orient by fellow Brummie Deano and impressed enough to earn himself a short term deal at the club.

Chambers has been a terrific servant at Orient and was rewarded with the Player of the Year award for the 2007/2008 season at the club. Adam has been a real favourite in his five years at Orient and was a vital cog in Martin Ling's, Geraint Williams' and Russell Slade's plans over that period and will be sorely missed by the fans. is box-to-box style of play has been a key component in the club surviving in League One for such a length that we have.

Sadly, injuries caught up with Chambers in the last two seasons and he sadly missed parts of the season through niggling injuries. However, Chambers managed to play thirty-three games during the 2010/11 campaign including the memorable 2-1 victory against Swansea City in the FA Cup.

Adam becomes the third link between Walsall and Orient, with Dean Smith in charge at The Bescot and Ryan Jarvis joining the Saddlers on a one year deal.

dam's father regularly attend both home and away games and will also be missed, we would like to wish Adam the best of luck with his career and thank him for his time at the club.
