JPT game update

Orient's second round match with Brighton and Hove Albion will now kick off at the earlier-than-previously-advertised time of 19:00 on the 6th of October. Good news for anyone who works until 18:00 and beyond...

Still, it's all part of the club's plan to get more young fans to the game, as prices have been slashed to encourage people to attend: £10 for adults, £5 for concessions, under 18s get in free. So, what's the catch (apart from having to watch a JPT game)? Well, there is of, course, a bloody form to fill in so you can get the free tickets (and with Orient's less-than-stellar recent record of ticketing successes, something's bound to go wrong). As ever the club look to make getting youngsters into the ground as difficult as possible. Why not just give under 16s a £20 season ticket with free entry to all cup games? New generation of Os fans: sorted.

That, and you have to sit in the West Stand as it's the only one open for home fans. What? They're not opening the 'home' end in the form of the TJS, where all the noise is made, and the decent bar is so we can all avoid the second half in favour of liquid refreshment? Oh no, hang on, it's open and they're giving it to Brighton. FFS. So not only do they want to charge ten notes to watch the reserves lose (incidentally they got tonked 9-2 by Palace on Tuesday), but you're going to have to do it from the worst stand in the ground, whilst the away fans enjoy the best. Ridiculous.

I think I'm going to to start using my new (old) catchphrase 'Typical bloody Orient' again...
